Cura Hospitality, a leading specialist in senior living dining, is pleased to announce its partnership with SpiriTrust Lutheran®, a York, PA-based social ministry organization. The agency provides an array of programs and services to more than 25,000 people in 20 Pennsylvania counties and three bordering counties in northern Maryland.
Cura officially began serving SpiriTrust Lutheran in December of 2017. Its culinary teams focus on creating exceptional resident-centered dining options beyond “three great meals per day” for the more than 1,300 residents who call one of six SpiriTrust Lutheran senior living communities home.
In addition, Cura provides lunch five days a week to approximately 40 SpiriTrust Lutheran Life program participants. Plus, team members often enjoy meals and snacks at the various cafes and bistros located throughout its senior living communities.
According to Michael Markey, Cura vice president of business development, “The SpiriTrust Lutheran team was impressed by the comprehensive personalized dining program we offer for all levels of care, including our signature Handcrafted Delights.”
Handcrafted Delights, an idea inspired by Cura, revolutionizes traditional nutrient-supplementing snacks with visually appealing and tasty treats that use pantry stables and produce already available in the kitchen! Studies show that residents not only increase their food consumption when they enjoy the meals they are served, but also feel a greater sense of dignity when they can rely less on medications and nutritional supplements.
“Cura’s contributions to therapeutic innovations and outstanding outcomes through Handcrafted Delights, as well as Whole Body Menus, Puree Creations℠, Enriched Foods and Connections Memory Care Dining, appeal to families researching optimal dining care,” said Angela Dohrman, senior vice president and COO – SpiriTrust Lutheran. “These were key factors in the selection of our new dining services partner.”
Cura also provides a wellness component, LivingLife, which encourages personal growth and independence through hospitality-related activities and special events such as chef challenges, farm tours, harvest days and brew clubs!
“We’re excited to bring our expertise to SpiriTrust Lutheran and will strive to continually enhance dining services, while promoting an experience that exceeds the expectations of those we serve,” said Mitch Possinger, president and founder of Cura Hospitality.
