St. Francis Senior Ministries Partners with Cura Hospitality; Dining Experience Enhances Senior Life, Culinary College Strengthens Dining Team

“We are happy about the opportunity to have Cura serve all of our residents’ dining needs.  From vibrant residents to residents who require personalized care, Cura’s food quality does not discriminate.  Cura believes that all residents should enjoy high-quality, delicious and nutritious meals that are prepared with fresh ingredients and artfully presented by a skilled chef.  We are also excited about the future opportunity for our team to strengthen their culinary skills through the Cura Culinary College,” says Gabe Stoll, LNHA Executive Director, St. Francis Senior Ministries, a faith-based retirement community that provides a full continuum of senior housing and healthcare services in Tiffin, Ohio.

Cura was selected for its high-quality food, culinary and hospitality expertise, as well as its ability to recruit and retain qualified and caring people by providing onsite training through the Cura Culinary College.

Cura believes in creating a resident-centered culinary experience, while encouraging nutrition for personal and memory care residents who require assistance.  Programs such as Cura’s Signature Connections Memory Support Dining Program will be gradually introduced with progressive tools and pureed food innovations so that memory-impaired residents can enjoy a meal with dignity.

Cura’s nutritional standards will also create a healthy, well-focused and most of all- delicious food experience.   Cura’s fresh and made-to-order food, prepared by Chef-Director, Sean Huitt, include a wide selection of chef-inspired entrees at each meal, as well as special nutritional requirements such as gluten-free, allergen-friendly, vegetarian and vegan options. Cura will also promote healthier lifestyles through BeWell, a platform designed to educate residents and staff on how to eat healthier.

Cura will also aim to elevate compliance by enhancing its food safety culture and best practices so that St. Francis will exceed required standards.

Team members will also have the opportunity to sharpen their culinary skills through Cura’s Culinary College.  An industry game changer, Cura invests culinary resources and trending techniques to strengthen the skills of our cooks, as well as cross train culinarians so that our dining teams are versatile, vibrant, and performs at its best – creating a completely satisfying experience for our residents, all the time!
