What you can expect from a partnership with Cura…
Enhance Culinary Experiences
Cura is a trendsetter, supporting and advising senior life community administrators and owners on how to best serve the dining and social needs of baby boomers, as well as future generations. We create dining destination experiences that residents were accustomed to prior to moving to a senior living community.
Cura blends traditional favorites with trending options like tavern-style dining, where older adults may continue to frequent their favorite taproom – right on campus while socializing and engaging with friends and family!
Cura also creates flex space seating that can turn formal dining into culinary adventures featuring wine tastings, culturally diverse foods, and a Chef’s Table! This highly anticipated interactive gourmet dining experience is commonly used as a marketing event! Prospective residents will be engaged as chefs describe ingredient selections and preparation methods as they cook for guests tableside.

Drive Patient Outcomes
Cura puts patients first!
Through a patient-centered philosophy, our goal is to be a visible, engaged member of the patient care team. We complement our customized nutrition plans with therapeutic “food” innovations including Handcrafted Delights℠, a nutrient-supplementing snack program that replaces traditional supplements with real food using pantry staples and fresh produce. By serving Handcrafted Delights in a visually appealing way, we’re not only encouraging consumption, we are creating a sense of dignity for residents who are tired of medications, supplements, and pills.
Cura also recognizes the ongoing challenge of ensuring patients with dementia receive enough nutrition. Cura’s Connections, a memory support dining program, encourages food intake for Alzheimer’s residents. Our methodologies include serving attractive foods through Cura’s Puree Creations℠ , which preserves dignity by adequately nourishing patients with dysphagia by preparing real foods, freshly prepared and attractively structured. We also utilize unique conversation cards, and aroma therapy which aids food service personnel to meet the challenges of increasing caloric nourishment as well as social engagement.
Access to Registered Dietitians
Through Cura’s resident and patient-centered care programs, our registered dietitians focus on each individual’s specific nutritional needs as well as their personal food preferences. Our registered dietitians meet routinely with medical staff and caregivers to design food choices that help speed the healing process, help those to achieve specific health-related goals, and overall, help us all lead a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle!
Whether they work for Cura or they are members of our clients’ teams, this special group of people shares our responsibility to incorporate nutrition into every medical and wellness care plan! Doing Good
Cura takes its responsibility seriously in making a positive impact on our communities and our environment. Our focus is “doing good” in areas of food, wellness, people, and our planet.
In fact, Cura’s Waste Nothing approach is one of our many initiatives that our team members feel good about! We start in our kitchens where pre-consumer waste including overproduction, trim waste, expiration, and dropped items, to name a few, can be reduced. This also applies to our dining areas, where operators can better manage waste on the salad bars, steam wells, self-serve deli stations, and misordered products. Post-consumer food waste can also be reduced through smaller portions, going trayless, and promoting awareness programs to our residents and guests.
Waste Nothing creates awareness and overall facilitates the food waste we produce and works to help reduce, rescue, and redirect from landfills!
Partnering with Cura gives you so many options, using the latest technology to expedite enjoying your favorite meal and products.
Cura is so much more than food on a plate. We are an essential member of your assisted living community team!
