Little Tomato’s Pizzeria made its debut at Allegheny Health Network’s Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, where over 500 slices were served during the pizza station’s grand opening celebration on October 10th!
The Cura team of Chef David Gibson, Director of Dining Windy Flynn, and Retail Manager Patrick Craver, along with support from Cura’s corporate marketing team, created the concept and menu for this brand-new pizza station at the hospital. Guests are able to enjoy a variety of square and specialty pizzas including buffalo chicken, Mediterranean, mushroom, veggie lovers, sausage, and margarita – also sold as whole pizzas or personal pans.
The Cura team also partnered with Pittsburgh vendors to serve local favorites including pepperoni rolls from Mancini’s Bread Company and garlic knots from BreadWorks Bakery. “We sold out of seven dozen garlic knots,” said Craver, who says that he will increase quantities for popular items to meet customer demand.
Guests can also order eggplant parmigiana, lasagna rolls, pasta primavera, and salads. Izze, a refreshing sparkling beverage, will also be added to complement the Italian food experience.
A loyal rewards card is also planned. Little Tomato’s Pizzeria is open Monday through Friday from 10: 30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
