“The Dill Pickle” is the Souper Bowl Challenge Champion…Create the Soup Here!
Sales doubled as customers got their game on during Cura’s Souper Bowl Challenge which was held at Allegheny Health Network’s Saint Vincent Hospital (SVH) in Erie, PA.
In celebration of National Soup Month (held in January), the hospital started the promotion on January 23rd. Hospital staff submitted their favorite soup recipes to the Cura “team” who sold 94 Souper Bowl tickets to customers who participated during the first day of this weeklong promo.
For $2, customers received two four-ounce portions of the featured soups, a fountain beverage, and a chance to vote for their favorite soup via a QR code – all soups homemade by Cura Hospitality Lead Cook Jennifer Ciotti. Customers enjoyed everything from pizza and pepper soups to black bean soup or the easy chicken tortilla! The winning soup was the Dill Pickle Soup submitted by Domenica Babo, MS, RDN, LDN, and SVH Healthy Food Center Manager!
Cura donated half of the promotion’s sales to the All For One Committee, an SVH employee volunteer committee that sponsors hospital employee activities and recognition events.
