Cura Hospitality is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Robin Run Village Senior Living in Indianapolis, IN. A member of Oakdale Seniors Alliance, Robin Run is a vibrant continuing care retirement community that serves lifestyle options for independent, assisted, personal and memory care residents, as well as outpatient services for rehabilitation patients.
Cura General Manager Tabitha Gresham will work alongside Oakdale Seniors Alliance Vice President of Culinary Services Denise Munion, MS, RDN, LD, CDP. Together they will enhance a “dining with dignity” program as they continue to refresh menus and add Cura’s signature culinary concepts for all lifestyles. By serving foods in a visually appealing way, Cura not only encourages consumption, but creates a sense of dignity for residents that are tired of medications, supplements and pills.
Ms. Gresham and Ms. Munion will be supported by an exceptional team of talented culinarians who will serve four dining rooms. The team includes Executive Chef Matthew Bowen, Sous Chef Jim Klopp, and Assistant Food Service Director Sherry Kruzich.
According to Executive Director Tammy Blesdoe, “Cura was the ideal choice to manage our dining services program as they have demonstrated success in currently managing one of our sister senior living properties, Asbury Heights in Pittsburgh, PA. Asbury’s leadership spoke highly of Cura’s high culinary standards, training of culinary and service staff, and their design of exciting senior dining programs that use only high-quality food and ingredients that appeal to all lifestyles, including Cura’s Signature Connections Memory Support Dining that enhances the experience for memory-impaired residents.”
As a senior dining specialist, Cura’s commitment to training is also key and aligns with Robin’s Run’s mission in providing excellent customer service. “Our training is the answer to the senior living’s struggle to both attract and retain skilled employees – who are in most cases, high school-age students. Our servers are the first point of contact for residents and our guests upon entering the dining room. We know that with our training, we will enhance Robin Run’s customer service focus and continue to create positive dining experiences, one of the most significant contributors to resident satisfaction within senior living communities,” says Ms. Gresham.
Cura’s retail experience will also transform an existing bistro into a trendy convenience store destination. This exciting new amenity for independent living residents and busy staff will provide an additional opportunity to purchase grab-n-go deli items and salads made fresh daily from Cura’s Tryon Market brand. Other essentials such as over-the-counter health, beauty, snacks, sundries, and freshly brewed coffee will also be available.
“Cura’s hallmark for preparing fresh and from scratch food in artful presentations for all levels of care will make a huge impact on Robin Run residents’ satisfaction. We look forward to creating a ‘Completely Satisfying’ hospitality experience,” adds Ms. Gresham.
