Fulton County Medical Center, a McConnellsburg, PA non-profit corporation which owns and operates an 21-bed critical access hospital and 67 bed skilled nursing care facility, was proud to announce their partnership with Cura Hospitality, a leading specialist in acute care and senior living dining.
According to Michael Markey, Cura vice president of business development, we are excited to serve their hospital’s cafeteria, and to help guide them on their culture change journey, a national movement for a conversion of the institutionalized system of care to person-directed values and practices.
“Fulton County is beginning to experience Cura’s Completely Satisfied patient-centered meal program which continues to achieve high patient satisfaction ratings through attention to the individual patient’s health, dietary and nutritional needs,” says Markey.
Cura is also honored to be a part of Fulton County’s new Center for Advance Medicine which includes a pharmacy, cardiology, respiratory, radiology and other specialty services. A new bistro is also being constructed to appeal to staff, patients and visitors. Under the direction of Jon Norris, Cura hospital district manager, “Our goal is to create the look, menu and feel of a contemporary bistro that offers fresh, made-to-order food, while providing a quick and nutritious meal to go,” says Norris.
“Our goal was to partner with a quality-driven dining specialist whose goals mirror ours on providing the highest quality, safety and satisfaction,” says Kim Slee, FCMC Chief Operating Officer and Interim CO-CEO. “We believe Cura’s culture change expertise, Living Life Wellness and preparing fresh and nutritious food helps us to continuously improve the health of our community.”
