October is the perfect time to celebrate fall flavors, comfort foods, and traditions that create Fall Fun in our senior living dining rooms and cafes! Jessica Goodwin, director of dining services at Presbyterian Manor Emporia, Emporia, KS, created Bierock German Stuffed Rolls for an Octoberfest event that residents, staff, and guests can’t stop talking about!
Jessica started at Presbyterian Manor in 2011 as the main server for independent and assisted living. Working in almost every role, she began as a prep cook and crafted all the purees! Jessica also served as the baker, creating a delicious assortment of pies, cakes, and cookies for catered events and resident activities.
As her love for culinary grew, Jessica enrolled in the local Emporia culinary school where she honed her culinary skills and after graduation, returned to Presbyterian Manor as the head chef. Jessica continued to evolve in her role, attending advanced training in culinary and puree, and also received her ServSafe certification.
Jessica is currently the director of dining services, a certified dietary manager, and the mother of three! Thank you, Jessica, for your culinary leadership and for your traditional, yummy Bierock German Stuffed Rolls!
