Let us be a part of your New Year’s resolutions. Our passion for food will be your most tasteful decision!
Cura marked a year of growth and retention with new partners and current clients through creative solutions and our hospitality culture.
For new partners, Cura was selected for our distinct culinary programs and hospitality expertise. The company focuses on “care,” as reflected in its name, which means “Care of the Soul.” Cura recruits skilled and compassionate individuals who understand and cater to the dining and service needs of residents, patients, and their caregivers.
When it came time for current clients to renew, they happily chose to continue their partnership with Cura. They have already experienced Cura’s partnership-focused approach, which delivers high-quality innovative culinary solutions coupled with unprecedented guest service resulting in memorable dining experiences for our customers every day.
As 2025 begins, Cura remains committed to supporting senior living, acute care, and behavioral health specialists in their businesses. The company aims to be part of clients’ goals for the new year, offering its expertise in culinary and dining services.
2024 Partnership Highlights:
CURA EXPANDS TO COLORADO, MICHIGAN & RHODE ISLAND
Cura Hospitality manages dining at 16 Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA) life plan communities in Kansas, Missouri… and now our first life plan community in Colorado! Aberdeen Ridge in Colorado Springs, CO, a brand-new life plan community for PMMA built from the ground up in the foothills of the Rockies with soaring views of Pikes Peak!
The culinary team executes signature dining rooms with professionally trained servers for the residents, high-end catering for the community, chef demonstrations, wine tastings, and members only gatherings at the Goldfields Bar and Lounge serving charcuterie boards and signature cocktails. The most recent dining experience at the Mesa Expo Kitchen featured a chefs demonstration with smoked duck quesadillas with Jicama watermelon salsa.
Perhaps one of the most distinctive features of Aberdeen Ridge’s dining experience is the Jade Cooking Suite. One of only two known in the state of Colorado, Jade is a forward-facing European design, an open concept if you will, so that residents can experience chef and the culinary staff prepare their meals in front of them.
Cura’s hospitality will soon extend it services to Michigan. Cranberry Park at ShorePointe, an Optalis Health and Rehabilitation Center, is a premier nursing facility in the picturesque city of St. Clair Shores, MI.
The Brothers of the Sacred Heart, our initial account in Rhode Island, have collectively dedicated 850 years to serving young people. Recently, they commemorated their 50th, 60th, or 70th anniversary of First Profession.
CURA EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT GROWTH & RETENTION EFFORTS in OHIO & INDIANA
Residents at Robin Run Village, (member of Oakdale Seniors Alliance) have also recently formed a new partnership in Indianapolis, IN. Executive Director Tammy Blesdoe says, “Cura was the ideal choice to manage our dining services program as they have demonstrated success in currently managing one of our sister senior living properties, Asbury Heights in Pittsburgh, PA.”
Cura was proud to expand its footprint within the Marion Health Network, recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the 2024 Best Hospitals! Now serving Marion Health East, this state-of-the-art, four-story 100,000 square foot patient care facility was newly constructed in Gas City, IN.
A dining partnership with Saint Francis Senior Ministries, a faith-based retirement community in Tiffin, Ohio, was announced in 2024. “We are happy about the opportunity to have Cura serve all our residents’ dining needs. From vibrant residents to residents who require personalized care, Cura’s food quality does not discriminate” says Gabe Stoll, LNHA Executive Director, Saint Francis Senior Ministries.
The Saint Francis partnership opened the Cura’s partnership with the Sisters of Saint Francis. This partnership allows for shared services and culinary solutions since the locations are right next door to one another, providing efficiency in solutions and increased satisfaction.
Continuing a partnership with Sisters of Charity was a crowning accomplishment of Cura’s 2024. The culture of compassion and appreciation at this location really drives a “Completely Satisfied” dining experience for the Sisters and their guests.
CELEBRATING GROWTH IN THE HEART OF PENNSYLVANIA
Cura’s compassion is also experienced at behavioral health facilities. Cura was selected to serve Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center, a facility specializing in mental and behavioral health care for children, teens, families, and individuals in Erie, PA.
We were also awarded Gateway Rehabilitation Center in Washington, PA, part of the largest addiction recovery network in the greater Pittsburgh region. Gateway signed with Cura on December 6, executing dining services just three days later! Cura provided a unique dining solution by preparing meals at its nearby location in Asbury Heights in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
Speaking of Asbury Heights, Cura is happy to announce a continued partnership under new ownership with the Oakdale Seniors Alliance. Cura is excited to grow our relationship with Oakdale, providing innovative solutions to their residents at all levels of care.
Other notable retention efforts in Pennsylvania included Holy Redeemer Meadowbrook and Holy Redeemer Lafayette outside of Philadelphia. The Cura team at Holy Redeemer has worked to bring culinary excellence and service to the forefront of what they do every day.
