Belknap County Home is proud to announce its new dining partnership with Cura Hospitality for a Completely Satisfying Dining Experience. This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing the overall dining experience for skilled nursing and long-term care residents, patients, and staff.
Cura officially began service on October 1, bringing its mission of “enhancing life around great food” to Belknap County Home. Together, the organizations are committed to creating a warm, homelike environment that supports individualized and rehabilitative care through nutritious, high-quality meals.
Cura was selected for its impressive patient-centered care services, keeping patients and residents properly nourished, while providing a respite and a healthier dining destination for staff and guests from the community. “We’re thrilled with this partnership—collaborative, supportive, and truly tailored to our community’s needs,” Shelley Richardson, RN, Belknap Nursing Home Administrator.
After only one week of service, the Cura dining team under the leadership of Steven Mello, District Manager and Cura support operations, created an authentic Oktoberfest for all county employees during their Employee Appreciation Day.
“Thank you for making our Employee Appreciation Day a success. The Octoberfest themed luncheon was excellent in both presentation and taste! Who would have known that you have been on the job here at Belknap County for only a week…? To have pulled off such an important event for us with little planning time was no small feat and we very much appreciate it,” says Debra Shackett, Belknap County Administrator and HR Director.
Cura’s highlights feature:
- Culinary Gold Standards that enhance the quality and nutrition of food, using fresh ingredients, including seasonal fresh vegetables offered daily;
- Resident and patient-centered care programs, with dietitian support, who design menus focused on specific nutritional needs as well as personal food preferences;
- A network of hospitality professionals who are experienced with Cura’s nurturing culture and high-quality dining services. They also benefit from our work-life balance environment, team recognition programs, and in-house culinary and service training – which all helps to create motivated staff who are happy to work for Cura, and most importantly, happy to serve our residents.
- A wide array of marketing and communication programs that are designed to constantly communicate as well as continuously engage residents so that the dining program will never get stale.
“The dining team’s openness to feedback and personalized approach is making a real difference for our residents,” says Amanda Gallagher, RN, Belknap Director of Nursing.
